Connect your students to Lutheran campus ministries

This summer, Holy Cross Campus Ministry from Kearney and University Lutheran Chapel from Lincoln went on a joint hiking trip to Leadville, Colorado, with a small but mighty group. They enjoyed the hospitality of Good Shepherd Lutheran in Leadville, CO, walked around Turquoise Lake, skipped rocks, played UNO, cooked together, and explored the downtown areas of Leadville and Buena Vista. In addition to enjoying the fellowship time during the hikes, there was time spent in devotions and discussion about faith and life. Both groups are looking forward to future trips with campus ministries across Nebraska.

International student outreach opportunities with the UNL community continue all year, and summer activities at the Chapel included inviting students from the Bangladeshi community to host a baby shower for two of their families who are pregnant, continuing English language conversation groups, and meeting with students one-on-one to give them opportunities to ask questions about faith and share the Gospel with them.

It’s not too late to get your college students connected to Lutheran campus ministries. There are four opportunities in the Nebraska District for students to enjoy fellowship and deepen their faith with LCMS campus ministries. Learn more at our District Ministries page. To connect students who are attending college in another state, visit the LCMS student ministry page to locate a Lutheran ministry near them.

You can support campus ministry with a one-time or recurring financial gift by visiting our donation page and designating a restricted gift for campus ministry in general or specifying campus ministry in Kearney, Lincoln, Omaha, or Wayne.
