Position Summary

Project Launch Lead will help to launch and lead the Lay Formation Initiative being developed and launched in 2025-2026. This role will include managing the schedule, deadlines and communication as well as lead the development, improvement and documentation for the future of this initiative. A launch team has been assembled with whom this position will work closely in their build-measure-learn approach. The project launch lead will oversee registration and evaluation processes as well as serving as the primary contact for participants and potential participants.

    • Lay Formation Launch Team
    • Lay Formation Guides
    • Lay Formation Participants
    • Lay Formation Elective Instructors
  • Communication:
    • Prepare and distribute promotional pieces and invitations
    • Prepare and distribute elective materials
    • Manage, communicate and update project timeline
  • District Activities:
    • Attend and participate as requested in conventions, conferences, workshops and events
    • Participate in planning and coordination as requested.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Director of Church Ministries or related. Will consider additional related experience as a substitute. Experience conducting outreach to nonbelievers. 
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, or related roles, with a proven track record of success in church, nonprofit, or educational setting.

Working Conditions

  • Work environment: Remote work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.  Minimal effort/lifting required.
  • Equipment: Must have reliable phone and internet access and provide own workstation.  
  • Travel requirements: Minimal travel is required, primarily to Seward, NE, with some exceptions for special events. 
  • Work schedule: Flexible; meetings to take place primarily within office hours of 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday with some exceptions for events. 

Compensation & Benefits  

  • Salary Range: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour for 10-15 hours per week (part-time) 
  • Benefits: Some other benefits are provided for part-time employees, depending on the number of hours per week. No health benefits are provided for this position.
