All Professional Church Workers’ Conference

All Professional Church Workers’ Conference
October 21-22, 2021 • Kearney

“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” Psalm 139:14

The All-Professional Church Workers’ Conference, held at the Younes Center in Kearney on October 21 and 22, 2021, was for all active and retired pastors, teachers, preschool staff, DCEs, deaconesses, directors of parish music, and other professional church workers in the Nebraska District.

This conference was a time for worship, fellowship, and growth as professional church workers. The conference theme, Fearfully and Wonderfully Made, helped our church wokers focus on their roles as servant leaders in ministry. This time together helped build and strengthen relationships based upon their common faith in Christ and service to Him and His people in each of their vocations.

The worship service was hosted, lead, and assisted by Rev. John Rasmussen, Rev. Tim Barone, and the staff and volunteers from Holy Cross, Kearney. The music for worship was done by the talented Chase Reihmann.

Dr. Beverly K. Yahnke was the Keynote speaker. Dr. Yahnke is a clinical psychologist serving DOXOLOGY as the Executive Director for Christian Counsel, and is a frequently invited speaker for clergy and educator conferences to discuss matters of psychology and faith.

One of the highlights of the event was presenting the awards to some of our District’s outstanding educators. Click here to read about the education award winners.

Thank you for supporting this event! When you partner with the Nebraska District in your giving and prayers, you help support events like this that equip and encourage church workers. Thank you.
