Hearts for Jesus Project

Each year, the Nebraska District chooses a project to support with their prayers and offerings throughout the school year. Schools may send their Hearts for Jesus offerings to the District Office clearly marked as “Hearts for Jesus.”

The projects supported by Hearts for Jesus alternate each year between national missions and missions within the Nebraska District.

All contributions to Hearts for Jesus during the 2024-2025 school year will be used to help support Calvary Academy in Lusaka, Zambia. Nebraska District schools may send their clearly marked “Hearts for Jesus” offerings, as they are accumulated, to: Nebraska District Office, PO Box 407 Seward, NE 68434

Emmanuel Mutale and his family started this ministry with the following mission statement: To provide free education in their community for children whose parents have died from HIV/AIDS and cancer related issues. Specifically, they provide meals, uniform and school fees for children. The longer they do this, the more children they have had come to them for help which is not sustainable.

The new goal is to build a school of their own that would waive fees for vulnerable children, making education possible for those that otherwise would not have that opportunity. Calvary Academy lives by faith, where less privileged learners are being taken care of and they depend on God for feeding, accommodation, and all other needs. Calvary Academy faculty and staff focus on providing a safe, nurturing environment with a quality, Christ-Centered education for students from pre-school through Grade 7.
